This has now evolved into a specification for constructing top of the range Chesterfields using traditional natural materials, solid hardwood frames and using only full grain cowhide leather originating from England’s best tanneries. Lifetime guarantees accompany our traditional Antique leathers. All foams and fillings surpass fire retardant standards while utilizing quality control throughout the process of hand assembly.
The production of House of Chesterfields furniture is handmade in Lancashire England. A typical sofa or chair is assembled by two craftsmen, one will hand assemble the wood frame, while another will undertake adding the foam springs and leather using traditional techniques and tools (hammer, nails and screws). The only modern tools used would be a power assisted screwdriver and staple gun.
All Chesterfield furniture made by House of Chesterfields has a unique identification number containing all information regarding construction, style, and leather finishing.
Chesterfield sofas are available in various sizes four, three, two seaters, corner units, bed settees, tub chairs and high back wing chairs with stools. Special size furniture can be made to customer’s own specifications while a large selection of office chairs is also available. Customers can select between several different internal seat fillings, from firm foam filling to very soft fibre filling or feather filled cushions.
Traditional English pedestal and partners desks, computer desks with leather embossed tops in various sizes, dining and conference tables, bureau and bookcases completes our selection of traditional English furniture. All in many different wood finishes. Again special sizes can be made to customers’ requirements. As reassurance to our customers’ peace of mind, each item of furniture (along with its guarantee) is accompanied with its own certificate of authenticity stating the origin and maker.
